Bhagwat is dialogue between God and his devotees. It is considered to be conveyed through Shreemukh i.e. from lips of God. Among 18 Mahapuranas, Bhagvad is most widely served. It defines life values and attainment with futility of greed and material possession. Bhagavat Purana consists of eighteen thousand slokas, distributed amongst 332 chapters and divided into twelve cantos (skandhas). Srimad-Bhagavatam is the most complete and authoritative exposition of Vedic knowledge. It covers everything from the nature of the self to the origin of the universe, and touches upon all fields of knowledge.
