Description
The Hindu holiday of Dussehra Puja, also known as Vijaya Dashami, is observed on the tenth day following Navratri and commemorates the victory of good over evil. Dussehra is celebrated for two well-known reasons, the central one being the victory of virtue over evil. Some Hindus celebrated this puja as the victory of Lord Rama over King Ravan, while others saw it as the victory of Goddess Durga against the demonic Mahishasura.
The celebration of Dussehra encourages followers to walk the path of goodness and truth and aids in the realization of good triumphing over evil.
