Description
Lalitha Devi is the object of Lalitha Sahasranam Puja. This is broken down into three sections: Poorva Bhaga, Stotra, and Uttara Bhaga. It is taken from the Brahmanada Purana. The Uttara Bhaga describes the advantages of reciting this Lalitha Sahasranamam, the Poorva Bhaga discusses its genesis, and the Stotra comprises 1000 Namas.
Lalitha Sahasranamam arrived straight from Shiva and was given to Nandi. It proceeded to Hayagriva and Sage Agastya muni from Nandi. When sung with absolute dedication, this Parayanam has more power than any Tantra or Mantra. Ganapathi, Sodasupchara, and Parayanam poojas are performed as part of Lalitha Sahasranama Pooja.
