Description

When someone is unwell or on Ekadashi, Dhanvantri Havan is done. The main deity of this havan is Lord Dhanvantari, who is regarded as the father of Ayurveda and the physician of the Devas (gods). Lord Dhanvantri, who is thought to be a manifestation of Lord Vishnu, makes an appearance with nectar during the Samudra Manthan to restore the spirits of the dead.
